Leslie Denko
Leslie was born and raised in the Ottawa Valley but has adopted the West Coast as the place she now calls home. Leslie made her trek out West to Vancouver in 1998, where she lived for a number of years before making Vancouver Island her permanent home. She and her family moved to the Island in 2013 where she lives and works in the small community of Sidney by the Sea. You can find Leslie weekdays in her bright, welcoming space right on the main drag of Beacon Avenue in the Olde Post Office Building.
With two very active teenagers, you might spot her most weekends at the hockey rink, or the dance studio or somewhere in between! If she’s lucky, she escapes for some precious studio time of her own in her coveted pottery studio where she makes small batches of hand crafted stone ware. Living on the Peninsula certainly has its benefits, walking to work and being a part of the local chamber and the business community in downtown Sidney has been a welcome change.
